TEBN Enhancements and tools brainstorming

Now that Telecom Executives Business Network has seen some significant growth in the last several weeks, I'd like to get feedback on how members would prefer to interact.
Right now the website for the group has some basic functionality, including the Forum that I'm posting this message on. I would like to know what others think would be useful in leveraging the diverse range of individuals that are part of TEBN.
For some background, the site is build on top of a platform called Drupal. This is an open source platform with lots of add-ons available.
To get the brainstorming kicked off, here are some ideas of things that might be useful:
- More forum topics
- More relevant industry news feeds
- Topic specific mailing lists
- An event calendar for industry events
These are just some basic ideas, so please provide what you think will be most useful.

Group Meetings
Sean,
I am a former telecom executive and was viewing the site. The one thing that I think would be great is if you can organize local chapters and have them meet on a regular basis. A good friend of mine is in the Pharma biz and a member of a group called ChemPharma. The goals of their group are similiar to yours, but the meetings became the core of their networking and fostering mind share. Let me know if you have considered this as a means to grow the organization.

Excellent idea
Hi Eric,
I think this is an excellent idea. I'll see what I can work up regarding tools to help support this. One thing that could possibly help with this would be adding a calendar to the site where such events could be listed and perhaps some geocoding information on users profiles.
